Space to think. Time to step back. Someone to challenge your thinking.

Leadership can be hugely rewarding. It can also be demanding, complex, and at times pretty lonely. As responsibility grows, so do the expectations. You have more people to influence, more complex decisions to make, competing priorities to navigate, and often less space to stop and think about how you are leading through it all.

Executive coaching creates that space.

I work with leaders who want to understand themselves better, think more clearly about the challenges they face, and become more intentional about how they lead. And you don't need to have a problem to benefit from coaching. Many of the people I work with are already successful and performing well. They are curious about how they could be even more effective as their role, responsibilities, or ambitions evolve.

What might bring you to coaching?

There isn't one particular moment when coaching becomes useful. You might be stepping into a bigger role, preparing for the next stage of your career or finding that what has always worked for you as a leader isn't having quite the same impact anymore. Perhaps you want to increase your influence, build stronger relationships, become more strategic or better understand your leadership style and the impact you have on others.

You may be navigating significant change, dealing with a difficult relationship or team challenge, or trying to perform well without the pace and pressure becoming unsustainable. And sometimes there isn't a neat development objective. You just need somewhere confidential to think out loud with someone who isn't your boss, colleague, partner or friend.

What we might work on

Every coaching relationship is different, but some of the themes I regularly explore with clients include:

  • Confidence & impact
Building confidence, presence and awareness of how you are experienced by others.

  • Strategic leadership
Moving beyond delivery and creating more space for strategic thinking and leadership.

  • Leadership transitions
Stepping into bigger roles and greater responsibility

  • Relationships & influence
Navigating stakeholders, difficult relationships, conflict and challenging conversations.

  • Leading others
Understanding how to motivate, develop and lead different people effectively.

  • Resilience & performance
Understanding how you operate under pressure and finding sustainable ways to perform well.

The starting point is always what will make the greatest difference to you.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Emma, who was thoughtful throughout, listened and interpreted extremely well and provided excellent advice, guidance and tools based around my development needs. The impact of Emma’s coaching has been transformational. The focus on resilience has been extremely valuable and I continue to use the tools and techniques provided on a daily basis, making the impact long term and long lasting.

I am so pleased to have had the chance to meet and work with Emma - a great choice of an Executive Coach!
