The quote above inspires me every day to stop waiting for my dream to happen. It's what I believe everyone should do - 'be clear about what you want and then just go for it'. But I also recognise that it can be tough doing it on your own. And that's where I want to come in. My lifelong passion has been about nurturing, challenging and supporting others to be the best they can be, if that's what they want!
Through my executive coaching I work in organisations enabling leaders to be confident, resilient, authentic and to understand their unique contribution and impact. With 15+ years in HR roles across Finance, Insurance, Technology and Pharmaceutical industries I understand the corporate challenges that many of my clients face. As a coach I am there to support them define the actions that are going create success and enable them to fulfil their leadership potential, whilst the building resilience required as they navigate their leadership responsibilities.
As a life coach I work with some amazing people who recognise they need to make changes and are committed to challenging themselves in new ways. It may be a big life decision they need help with, or redefining purpose and direction after a life change, building confidence & self-esteem or to improve their personal wellbeing.
Emma when she's not coaching - I enjoy a full and busy life with a young family and collection of pets! I'm a keen cook with a special interest in nutrition and love reading, films, travel and walks with my dog Coco. My mindful approach to life along with 6am personal training sessions help keep my own sense of personal wellbeing and balance.
I love coaching and am continually amazed at the power it has in moving people forward, at times completely transforming their lives. My coaching style is warm, empathetic and supportive whilst honest, enthusiastic and challenging and I like us to have fun along the way! I have a client-centred approach which means I wholeheartedly believe that you have the answers within your own resources... you just need me to listen, ask the right questions, bounce ideas with you, challenge your thinking and support you as define your next steps and action plan. That said I have my own experiences to bring to the table when a mentoring approach is needed, a career counselling qualification and recently trained as a mindfulness teacher so can offer a range of approaches to support you achieve your goals.
Committed to my own development, I am continuously honing my coaching skills. By being an even better coach, I can even better get my clients to where they want to be. Originally graduating in Management Sciences from Loughborough University I have continued my professional development gaining further qualifications in Executive Coaching (Bristol University), Career Management and Counselling (Birkbeck, University of London) , NLP, Hogan and Myers Briggs Type Indicator. I am currently studying for the ILM Level 7 Coaching Mentoring and enjoy reading topical books and articles regarding self-development, leadership and new coaching tools and methods.
As a passionate believer in the power of coaching I also have a coach of my own who supports me in my new ventures and next steps. I am a member of the Association for Coaching and practice under supervision for both coaching and mindfulness.
